I Like How These Brands Worded Things

Why and what is good copy?

I can give a 20-word list of what good copywriting is, but I rather refer you to my article the nice gains of learning copywriting. But for the sake of this article, I’ll keep it short.

Good copywriting is something that’s memorable, clear, and concise. Most importantly, it’s filled with personality — and this is sort of what I want to focus on in this article. If you can write copy with great personality, you’d be better off at relating to your audience. Even if your intentions are to persuade your audience or leads, or to convince them to buy something, copy with personality always does well.

Regardless of the brand or solopreneur.

Learning and executing your copywriting isn’t just about the frameworks (AIDA, before-after-bridge, FAB, 4Ps, etc), it’s about filling the shoes of the voice that’s speaking to the readers (you or your client).

Copywriting is important because it lets your audience or leads know that they might either need to buy something or believe in something. It’s like the written form of a sales call, except the reader isn’t responding in real time — because of this you have no choice but to address all of their possible objections, pain points or worries in one go.

It’s also important because even if your reader knows that you’re trying to convince them, you’re still able to because they can clearly sense that you know what you’re talking about.
